Use this unit of 40 vocabulary words and quizzes to expose your students to Tier 2 vocabulary (vocabulary words that are not used frequently). Vocabulary is directly tied to reading comprehension because if we don't know what we are reading, we won't understand what we are reading! 
 
These 40 words have been pulled from an ACT prep vocabulary list, so they are words that some students might have heard before but cannot tell you what they mean.
